Eye Candy! Unique Jewellery Brands You Need to Know
What's Your Jewellery Personality?
Recently, I have been seeing a lot of unique designers grace my instagram explore page. I truly believe jewellery should be fun, personal, and a reflection of the wearer. These labels are creating designs that embody exactly that. Their pieces are bound to catch someone’s eye and make them ask that ego boosting question, where did you get that from?
So, let me spotlight some of my favourite designers I am loving at the moment. Those who I believe to be paying attention to craftsmanship and experimenting with gorgeous gems and stones in unexpected ways. These up & coming brands prove that jewellery can be just as expressive as the person wearing it.
NUUK JEWELLERY
Designed in Portugal by a mother-daughter duo, NUUK has to have some of the most unique designs I’ve seen. To me, the NUUK girl is someone you hear before you see them. They enter a room with a contagious laugh and the jangle of stacks of bracelets, totally relaxed with that never-leaving “I just got back from holidays” glow.
Highly recommend a visit to their showroom in Porto to truly play around with creating your own ring stack.
Simuero
Currently obsessed with these funky toe rings. I am known to wear flip flops in every situation (regrettably to the clubs as well), yet accessorising with toe rings was something I never considered. This is such a fun & chic way to spice it up. Simuero is a brand based out of Valencia, Spain.
The Simuero girl has spent all day in the sun and quickly jumped into a HAND OVER set keeping her tussled, salty hair just as is for a couple of spritz’s and a side of calamari by the beach.
REAL FINE STUDIO
Real Fine Studios brings the heirloom aspiration to life through timeless pieces handcrafted in Los Angeles by Australian designer, Eliza O’Connor. From rings to necklaces, each design feels personal, with a playful yet considered use of colour.
Without a doubt, the Real Fine girl is classy but keeps her finger on the pulse. She’s the bare faced beauty you’ll find lounging at next week’s hot spot.
Matilda Foley
Matilda Foley is a bespoke Australian jewellery label crafting pieces made to be worn and loved. What drew me in was how considered the designs felt, showcasing Australian sapphires and birthstones.
The Matilda Foley girl is seen at your local farm-to-table scanning the menu for the natural wines. She’s ever so casual, styling her deiji studios blouse with a pair of hunter boots she picked up at the garden store.
NUDE JEWELRY
NUDE is unique in the subtleness of their designs. Handcrafted in 18K gold, the designs appear simple on first glance, but up close you can truly appreciate the attention to detail.
In my mind, the NUDE girl sees individuality as a luxury. She’s on the hunt for treasures and probably wearing a belt she found in Marrakech or loafers she picked up in Florence.
