It's only too late if you're too convinced it is.
Trying, anyways | Weekend Edition. 18
I find myself coming back to this quote a lot. Especially now as we are halfway through the year, yet I don’t really feel like I am halfway through my thesis. Nothing feels “good” enough but I don’t even know what “good” is. I keep convincing myself that I am too far behind to even start - that I’ll never reach the finish line of a final, thoughtful thesis.
But I think this logic applies beyond a certain 18,000 word project. It’s telling yourself you’re a terrible chef because you didn’t cook much growing up or a lame excuse to not write because you didn’t study journalism at uni.
Everyone is a beginner at some point, and it’s a marathon, not a sprint. But you have to start to even qualify for the race. So, you can start right now, and still cross the finishing line with flying colours. And I can write my thesis.
The Weekend Edition is a curation of everything I’ve been loving this week such as:
What I’ve been shopping/had my eyes on
What I’ve been listening to
Movies and shows I’ve watched / stories I’ve read
What’s caught my attention via searches & screenshots
Sunday Snippets
What a week! Tried out a few new things - a boxing class, my latest night at uni (yet), new fishbowl store post river walk, coconut matcha latte from AllPress cafe, a run (?!), matcha from Speed Dial - anything to distract myself from looming thesis deadlines.

Sunday Saves and Shopping
You’re going to hate me… but I couldn’t help myself!! As soon as my friends agreed to go bouldering I couldn’t help but search up fits. The last time I went rock climbing was in Madrid and I had the best time messing around with my mates on the fácil climbs.

Monday Moodboard:
Soundtrack
In the search of new music I stumbled across the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die which conveniently has a website that randomly selects one album a day. Anyways today I found a new fave song: Cowgirl in the Sand
An oldie but a goodie (and more my vibe than the above):
Stories & Shows
I was mislead and told Voicemails For Isabelle will make you shed happy tears. We wept streams of sad ones. Rom Coms are SO back!!!
Also have to say I did love Every Year After (oops!)

Lately I have read far too many books on political economy about the meaning of liberty, so I am in a desperate search of a classic fiction book to take my mind of things.
Library Science is the first place I hit up for some recs because Kaia Gerber is the one who introduced me to my favourite novels: Trick Mirror by Jia Tolentino and Play It As It Lays by Joan Didion. Next on my list is Bad Feminist by Roxane Gay.
