Nobody is thinking about you
Jewellery brands to know, note on personal taste, sleepover games and true gratitude | Weekend Edition. 19
This week I shared my first substack article to my personal instagram account (huge milestone). I have never been more nervous in my life - to be vulnerable in a sense I only ever am with people in close proximity. To share your work online takes a lot of courage, but it is also an incredibly humbling experience.
Like everyone says - no one is thinking about you as much as YOU are. what stopped me for so long was the fear of others finding out - reading my inner thoughts or recommendations or literally anything and thinking of me differently. but this isn’t the case. and this week was a great test of exposure therapy. now that i’ve put my work out there, i cant keep going ;)
The Weekend Edition is a curation of everything I’ve been loving this week such as:
What I’ve been shopping/had my eyes on
What I’ve been listening to
Movies and shows I’ve watched / stories I’ve read
What’s caught my attention via searches & screenshots
Sunday Snippets

Sunday Saves and Shopping
My mind has been on jewellery a lot lately. I’m actually not one to really wear much either - I am loyal to the ring, necklace and watch my parents gifted me. But I can’t help but feel like a kid in a candy store when I scroll the websites of beautiful small designers.
My favourite brands: @nuukjewellery, @simuero_, @nudejewellry, @realfinestudio, @matildafoleyy

The Dark Side of the Moon is arguably on of the greatest albums of all time, but it seems to have taken me until now to truly appreciate the greatness of Us and Them ??
Listening to Sneaker Pimps makes me believe I am part of an early 2000s teen drama like Veronica Mars or the O.C. Post Modern Sleaze and 6 Underground are on repeat.
Stories & Shows
Vogue always spotlights interesting people doing cool things. This week, I watched an interview with Mindy Seu who wrote Cyberfeminism Index. The book includes 1000 short entries of radical techno-critical activism in a variety of media to challenges male-dominated internet history by highlighting the contributions of marginalised and diverse voices in tech.
I also really enjoyed reading the above essay on personal taste as a dynamic concept that extends beyond simply what you are wearing. This is an idea i’ve been trying to articulate for a while.
The older I get, the more I realise that style is less about clothing and more about how you see the world. Fashion simply happens to be one way of expressing it.

There is nothing I love more than a “sleepover” game. Whether it’s red flag/green flag, guess who, or would you rather I am always down to play a round. Armed with a pen and blank paper, I can make up any kind of game.
So if you haven’t already now is the time to bring back pen and paper games and search up the rules for Consequence!
