Weekend Edition. 06
Tarot readings, adding colour to my wardrobe & a weekly recap.
I got my tarot cards read this week. I was crashing out so badly (happens every week - let’s be clear) that I drove to West End and walked right up to my beloved psychic store. I stopped myself though before I could enter. Was the crash out really curable by a psychic reading? No. Instead I treated myself to a chocolate NoDo donut (because in reality that fixes all).
However, when I said this to my friend Tom, he offered to read my cards and pulled out his deck right then and there. I used to be really into all things spiritual when I was in grade 12. I would argue I am still now just not in the physical practice of tarot and crystals etc. Anyways, the reading gave me great clarity and provided the right challenge of mind to shift my perspective from the problems I was facing. So, thank you Tom if you ever read this for helping me get out of my head.
Sunday Snippets
Despite my spiritual crash out, I have had an excellent week. Full of friends and fun like always! I am still committed to a lot of late night study sessions - very necessary when I spend all day on campus gossiping. Went to a pilates class at La Burns (great flow would 100% recommend), enjoyed a game of lawn bowls, caught up with high school friends at 21sts, and started booking accom for Bali.
MOTW: my beautiful loving friends who truly provide the best advice.

Sunday Saves and Shopping
Currently sourcing inspiration on how to add more colour to autumnal outfits. Love the idea of coloured pants and fun statement jackets. Brands I am looking at:
Blanca Studio - colourful, unique, yet easily style-able pieces.
La Veste - major pops of colour.
With Harper Lu - stocked at Lidos Boutique.
Soundtrack
NO MORE SAD SONGS!!! this was a goal of mine this year but I fear I relapsed. I can’t help myself - I could feel on top of the world, and one song, with the right cutting lyrics, brings me crashing down. And quite literally crashing out.
I can’t get enough of dance-punk this week.
Stories and Shows
I came across this article by Eleni Di Luzio while scrolling on Substack the other day. There are so many conversations on personal taste at the moment - especially with the whole CBK style trend. But this article had such a positive undertone to it. Eleni doesn’t berate people for lacking taste and agreeing with the algorithm. Instead she encourages the practice of curiosity, intentionality, and discernment to help grow your personal taste. And she’s so right. In the age of AI things like taste and critical thinking skills are ever so important. Authenticity shines through when you truly understand what you like and feel connected to the things you love whether that be art, clothes, travel, food, movies, etc,. I keep thinking back to the lyric of Cherry: I noticed that there’s a piece of you in how I dress.

Love the idea of recreating runway looks - especially this one from the Chanel Métiers d’art 2026 Show. Also loving the leather jackets and tops from STUDIO AR. Plus a fun little affirmation from the I Am app <33
That’s all for today!
Signing off,
