Weekend Edition. 10
The "in between", fashion stylists I love, Bali wish list, and Talking Heads.
Sunday Snippets
The start of the week was busy, busy, busy with work and uni. I had one final essay to complete (which I didn’t touch while I was in syd oops). But I did get to catch up with my professors and best friends at the Scholar’s Dinner on Thursday!
I don’t know if anyone feels this way but when I am home in between trips (syd last week, bali next), everything catches up to me and I am just so exhausted.
MOTW: Early morning pilates class to get back into routine.

Sunday Saves and Shopping
Randomly what’s on my wish list is nice stationary. For the longest time I have wanted a set of custom notecards because there is nothing more meaningful than a handwritten thank you or love letter. I really like this set from Papier.
Otherwise what’s on my wish list for Bali:
large hand-woven leather tote bag
swimwear (Cin Cin)
resort wear (RHYE STUDIOS, Ruta Concept, Magali Pascal)
fun jewellery (Blink)
leather flats or silver flip flops (The Bali Tailor)

Soundtrack
Dad and I sat down to watch the first episode of season 2 of Your Friends & Neighbours and the final episode ended with Burning Down the House. While we didn’t continue watching the second season, I couldn’t get the song out of my head (pun intended). So it’s no surprise the album of the week is Speaking in Tongues by Talking Heads.
I can’t help but love anything that has a funky beat, remotely electronic sound, and synth. I grew up with my dad playing anything that sounds like it could be in a video game, and there’s no shortage of synthesiser solos in this album.
Also love being transported back to Madrid when listening to this:
Stories & Shows
Guys… I started rewatching the O.C. again. There is something so nostalgic about the first season and sometimes the answer to life’s challenges is to channel Summer Roberts.
I also watched Mattie Gouman’s closet tour with Style-ish - she is definitely on my bling ring list! Mattie is defs my inspo when it comes to adding colour into outfits.
Searches
Mark Rothko has been on my mind. He is one of the great artists of the Abstract Expressionists. As you can tell, I’m finding myself experimenting a lot with colour.

Aamina is my new style inspo to be more adventurous when mixing colours and patterns. Everything she wears is fun! She has this ability to creatively assemble chic and elevated looks.
Jules Fox is another stylist I’m turning to this winter. Loved this coat from Maria de la Orden.
I really enjoyed this episode of Let’s Get Dressed with Anne Hathaway’s stylist, Erin Walsh.
See you in Bali !!!!!!!
Signing off,
Ella x
